Beyoncé Giselle Knowles (born September 4, 1981), often referred to as Beyoncé , is an American R&B singer, songwriter, record producer, actress and model. Born and raised in Houston Texas, she enrolled in various performing arts schools and was first exposed to singing and dancing competitions as a child. Knowles rose to fame in the late 1990s as the lead singer of the R&B girl group- Destiny's Child. According to Sony, Knowles record and musical DVD sales, when combined with the group, has surpassed 100 million.

Jordin Brianna Sparks (born December 22, 1989) is an American R&B and pop singer-songwriter from Glendale, Arizona who rose to fame as the winner of the sixth season of American Idol. Sparks won when she was 17 years old, making her the youngest winner. She followed her American Idol victory with the release of her self-titled debut album in 2007, which has gone Platinum in the United States, having sold about 2 million copies worldwide. Due to the success of her album and its singles, she has won an American Music Award in 2008 and received her first Grammy nomination in 2009.

Sparks' success continued with the release of her sophomore album Battlefield.
